Pittsburgh Restuarant Week, Summer 2015

Pittsburgh Restuarant Week, Summer 2015

Unfortunately I’m not in town to enjoy Pittsburgh Restaurant Week this year, but it kicked off yesterday and runs until the 16th, and there are a lot of amazing restaurants participating this summer! I was lucky enough to snag an early bird ticket to the Kickoff Party when they were on sale back in April (keep an eye out for super early ticket purchases for upcoming restaurant week events, too. I was suprised to find tickets in April, but payed less than half price!). Last week, the Kickoff Party took over the National Aviary on the North Shore for an evening of food, music, and birds. The event combined two of my very favorite things: food and penguins! About 15 Pittsburgh restaurants sampled food off of their Restaurant Week menus, and the National Aviary exhibits were open throughout the event. Look below for some of my photos from the event, which highlight some of my favorite samples- and be sure to check out all the Restaurant Week menus and visit some of the restaurants yourself!
